Full disclosure - I’m not gonna be a regular here ever again. Apparently my last break was over a year, then I came back this March for a single post, and then I just decided that I’m not in a good place mentally for this specific community. I don’t want to go into details.
Anyway , let’s get right into the big thing - on the 3rd of this month, I celebrated 3 months of HRT. Tomorrow I have a hair removal appointment. I’m not even close to full-time female yet, but my skin has gotten so soft so fast that I do get ma’am ed a lot more than I would have expected this early.
As for school? I’m dropping out for a third time. I don’t want to get into details on this either, but it’s due again to mental health. This will almost certainly be my last attempt.
Another thing that I don’t know where to shoehorn into this post - I’m a dual citizen with the US and Hungary now. I’m never gonna set foot in that country until they get their act together, but I can move to anywhere else in the EU eventually and that’s pretty much my goal for the next ~10 years. I fell in love with the continent over my two visits.
And then there’s my love life - I’ve been somewhat casually seeing someone (not sex-type casually, but just literal casual label-less whatever ) throughout the pandemic and we very recently kicked things up quite a bit and are now fully committed. She’s trans as well, and she’s been super helpful throughout this whole thing for me. We’re planning a road trip to Key West just for the hell of it on my birthday next month.
That’s pretty much all that’s going on in my life right now. I’m looking for a more reliable job and an apartment, but that’s not a uniquely me thing.
A nyway, yeah, I may or may not reply to you if you comment on this. I don't even know if I'll remember to check it in the morning.

Glad to hear you’re doing well! Oppo won’t be here in a few weeks anyway. We’ve got a few life rafts out there but no consensus yet.

hey Rainbow, funny I just came back after an extended hiatus as well.
the lawyers that run g/o media are shutting the place down though. there’s a backup running now at www.opposite-lock.com but its on a tiny Amazon server rn so it might be spotty

It’s good to hear from you again. I’m sorry to hear your mental health has been suffering. It sounds like other parts of your life are going well though! I want you to know you do have a support system here. I can’t speak for others here, but at the very least I have your back and know I’m wishing the best for you. If you think that leaving is what’s best for you, then by all means do it. Maybe bookmark our new DriveTribe page or something just in case you feel like finding us again later? If this really is goodbye then I’m just happy you stopped by one last time. I hope things keep improving for you.

I was just thinking about you the other day. I am 4 years into hrt and gcs scheduled in March, though it might get pus hed back a bit, covid destroyed my savings for taking time off work. Working on stabilizing my m ental health. If you ever need an ear or someone to vent too, I am always willing to listen!

Key west is a fantastic road trip. Overseas highway is beautiful. Kermits has the best key lime pie (and key lime souvenirs). The Hemingway house, butterfly conservatory, and conch train are all pretty fun if you’re looking for a touristy thing to do. There’s also a nude-optional bar where you can find a lot of locals called Garden of Eden, which is much more diverse and liberal than anything you’ll find on Duval street. I always stop there at least once because the people there are most closely aligned to the friends I spend time with at home (who include gay club bartenders , professional dominatrix’s etc).
Wishing you the best. As is true for life in general, enjoy the drive. Every road has detours, some more than others, but we all get where we’re going.

Glad to hear some good things happening in your life. Keep strong and be well. I know those sorts of life changes can be really hard not only on yourself, but to the ones close to you. So just remember , take care of you first and foremost.
